New Children's Book
A book I recently illustrated has just been published. It's called "Not All Girls Have Hair" and it's about a little girl who's afraid to go to school, as her hair has fallen out due to cancer treatments. The irony is that I finished this project just prior to being diagnosed with cancer, myself. It was a great experience, and is such a sweet little book. The author has been a volunteer with the "Make a Wish Foundation" for almost 20 years. She made the book to help classmates of "Make A Wish" kids understand that kids with cancer may look different, but underneath are just regular kids. I don't want to spoil the ending, but it involves a fun scene where the teachers have shaved their heads! Here's a link: http://www.lulu.com/browse/preview.php?fCID=395828.

I may have to buy a copy of that. It looks too precious for words. :)
Happy Tuesday!
Love,
Amanda
So where can I get a copy?
You can get the book right at Lulu.com. I'm going to order a bunch though, and am happy to send them out to people, if they want them.
I'm going to order a copy to add to my collection of your books.
I had a wonderful visit with my friend, Muriel, today. She came over on the ferry from Long Island and I met her in Bridgeport.
I'm always thinking of you, especially now that you've started being off the Synthroid.
I love you so much.
By the way, I played the CD of your, Bruce's, and your Dad's songs for Muriel. I'm so proud of myself that I succeeded in burning a CD of the songs so I can play them in the car.
Love,
Darcy, congratulations on another wonderful book! I am looking forward to seeing this one; it is an amazing dovetail that you worked on a book about a child with cancer right before your diagnosis. Hope all is well and you're not too wrung out yet from live without the replacement thyroid drugs...
love, Kate
I ordered a copy of your book yesterday.
Hope you're managing okay without the Synthroid.
I'm always thinking of you.
Love,
Thanks for the link - I am so shocked to hear of the cancer diagnosis, and so relieved that things are going so well! All the Dennis clan are thinking of you all and sending good vibes your way.
The book and music are great - thanks for sharing! Lulu will be getting an order from our address.
